We also saw Fitz and the Tantrums! They were UNBELIEVABLE. It was a small show and they rocked it out like they were filming for live tv. I have never danced and laughed so much at a show. I have been listening to their album almost daily on my runs. It's infectious. If they are coming near you. Go see them and buy tickets fast because they won't be available for long.

Music!
Other things to catch up on. We saw two amazing bands in my blog hiatus. Fitz and the Tantrums and Mumford & Sons. We had already seen Mumford but it was amazing to see them again the energy they have when they perform and the emotion they give the music can make you cry during the show it hits you so hard.

Music
I feel sometimes like I am in a movie. I am constantly in my own soundtrack or at least it feels like it. I listen to SiriusXM, Pandora or itunes at work, at home I blue tooth my ipod or computer to our stereo to blast out tunes, or on the rare occasion I'm in my car I've got Sirius rocking there too. Regardless I listen to music all the time. Which means I also love going to live shows when I can. Last night Eric and I went to see Mumford and Sons. OMG It was fantastic. They sounded so great live, played new stuff and seemed surprised that a bunch of Georgians could sing along to everything they had written. It was fantastic. The opening bands were great too. Cadillac Sky and King Charles really set a great tone. I had never heard of either of them but they were so good I might have to run out and get their cds too. I am hoarse from cheering and singing, my feet or sore from standing for 4+ hours. It was totally worth it.

Music!!!!
We sat on the second tier right by the stage. It was perfect for once I could see and not be smashed by taller people. :) It was also a show where the singers sounded exactly like they do on the radio. Great music, Good friends, an all about good night.

10..10... days until our wedding. ah ah ah
Where has time gone. I'm not quite sure but it's almost down to single digits! I can't believe it. I am have so excited I can't breath and half so concerned I won't figure out all the details in time. I still have a few major things left to solve. What in the world am I walking down the aisle too. I'm not big on the traditional stuff. I need something beautiful, slightly short and conveys the right emotion. I have a few ideas. I've shared them with Eric. He likes a few. Hates a few. Not that he hates them he just says that would be good elsewhere. I have to admit I agree. I just had to share what I found. My goal is by Friday knowing what the songs we are going to play so Saturday I can print our programs and begin assembly. Here's hoping we decide on something.

Music to my ears
I am excited to have a new check. Music! I booked our the DJ for our wedding reception. We both love music and it will definitely make or break the reception. Now we have to compile a list of songs to define our musical style, and have the list of what we want to have or can't stand. I am also stoked because with our DJ comes with dance lighting. I'm thinking along the lines of awesome photographs of the dance floor. Not just of me of course but of everyone. This one just caught my attention.

Dancin' Music

Image from Here.
Music is so important to a great party. It sets the tone for the event and lets everyone know what to expect and if the music is a flop. You can probably bet that the party was too. I have just started my search for what type of Music to have at our wedding. Band or DJ? The pro's and cons to each as well as how much. It all has to be factored in. Especially if I want to get everyone from our grandmothers to our smallest relatives on the dance floor. I know what some basics that I'm looking for in music. They have to be able to play a little of everything. Eric and I's taste in music is all over the place. So it is necessary for us to have classic rock to today's top 40. Oh and throw in a bit of Sinatra during the cocktail hour. You can't have a cocktail hour with out Sinatra. The search has begun and I hope to find someone that can get our guests to rock out at our weddng.
